Major penetration of the American Market
The marketing plan being implemented by Identa Corp. for the year 2004 emphasizes a major focus on the biggest and most important market in the world – namely the USA. Both on the retail and legal law enforcement areas. Already the first results of this campaign are becoming apparent.
- As previously publicized the meeting of February 18th was with the NYPD representatives (at the highest level) and has resulted in the decision to run an independent assessment for and by the New York Police. Identa has just supplied samples for this assessment.
- On the 30th of March Identa Representatives will be making a presentation of our products before the Los Angeles Police.
Both these achievements are a result of our close and intensive work with the public relations firm of Rubenstein Associates of New York.
As part of the marketing plan it was jointly decided that the actual PR would start only after these two major Police Forces will have become acquainted with our products.
- After our success with CVS. Com and Home Health – which have already declared growing sales - we have made initial contact with two more retail chains, namely Walgreens and Duane Reade. It is our intention to reach all the major retail outlets and some of the secondary chains within twelve to eighteen months.
- To allow our products to be accepted by the courts in the USA we must get credibility by a forensic University. To that end we have an agreement with John Jay College of New York – a leading Forensic school of higher education – that they will have two master degree level thesis on our products. Each one will pertain to different aspects of the chemical and forensic make up. The actual field - testing will be done with the co-operation of the Yonkers police department.
- A new member to our fast-growing group of distributor-reps in the US is PassPoint. They will be focusing for the beginning on four states where their infrastructure and client base is most active. This is the first step and they join IPD and TIMCOR who have already began our US campaign.
We are in midst of negotiations with two more companies that will help us penetrate the US markets effectively and aggressively.
- Besides the number of exhibitions and conferences that we mentioned in previous press releases we will be appearing at the Narcotics Assoc. like California and Florida.
In short. These are but a few of the many and on going activities and marketing ventures in the American market.
- On February 18, 2004, Identa products were successfully presented and demonstrated to representatives of one of the most important American police agencies. This agency is currently running a field study with the kits sent to them (100 kits). The name of this agency will be announced as soon as an agreement is signed.
- The PR agency working on behalf of Identa made contact with one of the largest police departments on the West Coast. As of the date of this report, they have received initial informational material about Identa products.
